Everything went smoothly with the last vote, better than I thought the reaction would be. Only Abi, Brandon, and Jonas were blindsided. Brandon's gone and gave one last farewell message about how I'm aligned with Danni and Jay. This was to be expected after we had just done the same things to Brandon and JT the last two tribal councils, just on different tribes.
Jonas was blindsided, but I never lied to him. Our last chat ended with just, "We should vote for either Brandon or Tijuana." Him voting for his own original tribe makes him look bad now, and we can probably get him taken out next if we want. Tijuana and Tina proved themselves to me and Danni, and we also proved we're willing to vote out old Menba with them.
As far as Abi goes, I gave her a vague warning before the vote. She felt blindsided and admitted to not trusting me as much after it was over. However, we still talked for a bit after that about options if the merge was next. I think she'll want to keep Menba together a few votes to make sure old Luoba doesn't get the advantage over us, and I trust her and would like to keep her around. The only exception would be if she makes a counter alliance against my core and I hear about it. Then she'd need to go. My assumption right now is that Danni, Jay, and I have enough other players covered in side alliances that we have a good chance of being informed about resistances to us so we can destroy them before they get too strong. I also have an idol, and I know Tina has an idol we can use together to help us advance in any sticky situations.
With Brandon and JT gone, I feel much more comfortable now with the remaining players from Menba. Just talking to Brandon and JT was stressful because they were obviously closely aligned and would exchange everything everyone said with one another and then repeat it to who they talked to. Now, that's all gone. It's kind of like each of us left from Menba has our own allies from Luoba who we'll be using together to achieve a combined goal. Each round is going to be a conflict trying to find a common target, but I expect to be able to figure one out with my allies. If someone's causing too much problems defending a person, then we may be forced to vote them out to break them up.
