She was really promising the first night and I thought for a second that she might not be the first out. Soon enough though she proved to be a mess on AIM and was the only person in the cast that I regret casting as she brought nothing to the table. I hated seeing Charlie out so early but it was hands down the greatest round of the pre merge if not the greatest round of the game. It was so back and forth and unfortunately Charlie was the causality. Charlie in my mind was a sort of a victim. The alliance of villains won this round and Charlie paid the price. Charlie was one of my pre game favorites and would love to see him play in the future! I was so happy Menba lost this challenge because I wanted to see what would happen. Rory seemed to be the sure fire first boot for the first two rounds but then it all spiraled out of control for Ashley. She did not play as well as she usually does I think and just failed to make the social bonds that would of helped her make it past this round. Malcolm set himself really good at the beginning of the game. He could of gone either way and I think going with Tyson, and RC was the better choice. However I think after Charlie left he was less dedicated which lost his other allies in Jonas and Alexis. Malcolm's confessionals were really good and gave me a good idea on what was going on in his head as well as created this arrogant player who got backstabbed early on. Tyson was really similar to Malcolm except he started off awful. I thought he would be out first for sure. I think he was a strong catalyst for getting Charlie out round 2 as he was one of the more likable players in the game. Unfortunately he also came off as threatening in the social game and after the swap the original Menbas got rid of him. I think it was a fitting end as I viewed him as more of a villain than a hero in the season. JT was a late addition to the cast but I did not regret casting him at all. Similar to Luoba I viewed it as being two separate alliances and I think his of himself, Lisa, Brandon and Abi could of done some serious damage had the swap not happened. I view him as someone who was playing a great game and then all of a sudden got the tables turned on him. The round he left was an exciting an interesting round where the game changed from Menba vs. Luoba to an individual game. While I am not sure Brandon added a whole lot to the game gameplay wise he added a pretty humorous early game rivalry between himself and Ashley. He despised Ashley for disliking Nicki Minaj (I am definitely team Brandon on this one) and I almost attribute it to one of the reasons she got voted off. After the swap he went pretty invisible and was a pretty obvious first boot from NuLuoba though it was closer than I expected.

I love watching Abi play but I felt she never really got going this season. I know from watching/playing with her that she has is a great player but she put all her cards in the Matt basket and that was obviously not the good basket to put his eggs in. RC played a really good game! She socially connected with a lot of people but then got a big head and got it sliced off which is similar to what happened to Jay and Danni later on in the game. Her biggest move was probably her downfall as voting out Abi stepped her out of the shadows and revealed her as the threat that she was. Tijuana was so much fun! She was so fierce and so sassy and her confessionals made my day every single time! Her gameplay had the potential of winning as she was really likable and loyal to Tina and Danni. Had she made the final 3 with Danni and someone else she could of gotten some votes. She was a great for her entertainment value! Jay was the big threat of the game and my pre game choice to win. I didn't think he would be such a vocal threat and I think thats what ultimately did him in. In Survivor the biggest threat usually never wins because eventually everyone wants him out and that is exactly what happened to poor Jay. I would of called him the all around best player in the game. Good in challenges, had a decent strategy and was very likable. Lisa was more of an UTR player in the game but I appreciated it because if you have just OTT players there becomes way too much craziness. Lisa was a monumental part in Jay's alliance despite being betrayed by him earlier and when he left she kind of was an easy target. I thought she could of been brought to the finals but I think she was wisely taken out as a potential jury threat. Not one of the more memorable characters but I believe she served a good purpose in the story. I am not sure how many of the juror's remember but Danni was the original Matt. The jury despised Danni for betraying them and wanted her head on the platter. The difference between Danni and Matt is Danni could of been edited positively as someone who rose from almost leaving pre merge to someone who took out big threats and was betrayed by the villain of the season. I was really impressed with how Danni played as she was really a huge catalyst in post merge play. Out of everyone Rory exceeded my expectations the most. Had the idol expired at Final 6 this guy would of probably won the game. To think he could of been the first person voted had Menba lost the first challenge. He had a really rootable edit and played a good social and strategic game. Tina was a tank! Her wide talents in challenges impressed me to no end. It was unfortunate that endurance is not her fortay as she would of more than likely won in the Final 3. She was the ultimate hero, almost the Malcolm of Philippines of the season. She had a rough start to the game with Lisa leaving than Tijuana left post merge but she fought through and finished a very respectable fourth.

I am sorry to everyone else but Matt was my favorite player of the season. The epic villain who sliced and diced his way through the game taking no prisoners and making sure people would remember him. He was strong in the challenges he tried in and finding both idols made him definitely the most valuable player. It was a shame he didn't win but I understand that jury management is a crucial part of the game and his methods pissed off the jury. His biggest mistake was getting Danni voted off because at that point most everyone hated her as opposed to him. Coming into Final Tribal Council I thought that Alexis was going to win. It is ironic that two of the finalists were the two flip floppers from the original Luoba tribe. Alexis' game fascinated me as the emotional flip flopper who felt so bad voting out both Charlie and Malcolm then again when she flipped over to Menba and voted out the Tyson who despised her. The next round she was forced to vote out the man who single-handedly saved her and side with her nemesis RC. The merge was no easier as Danni took out RC due to their realtionship. Alexis never really caught a break in the game but instead of giving up or doing something drastic she picked the people that was she was next closest to and got close with them. This created bonds with Rory and Matt which led her to the finals. Jonas was by no means an exciting person to watch play. His confessionals contained good information but similar to the actual Jonas did not have much flare. He was strong in challenges for the tribe and while Alexis battled emotionally with her decisions pre merge Jonas was pretty precise and not afraid to betray past ties. Unfortunately for the last pre merge vote and some of the first few post merge boots he was clueless as to what was going on. That did not stop him though as he never gave up and continued to take care of one person and one person only... himself. He jumped from different alliances throughout the game and was used by others. The thing that made him the winner though was instead of following in the footsteps of those who had not gone along with whatever they were told and tried to step out and make their own move (Malcolm, JT, RC, Jay, Danni, Rory, Matt) he made sure not to put the target on himself. At the merge Jonas was securely in 11th but winning immunity was the game changing moment for him. This ensured him to create ties with the Menba Alliance and secure his spot in the game. While his name was brought up plenty times after there was always a bigger threat that wanted to be taken care of. Jonas won this game because he knew that while it is fun to make big moves the best way to win is to let other people make big moves and join in on them to avoid putting the target on yourself. That concludes the post game assessment! The thread you will be unlocked and you can agree, disagree, call me a fool!
